It’s time for the weekly Tiki and Tierney 6-Pack of Picks, with Tiki Barber and Brandon Tierney picking six games – three college, three pro – against the spread (or under/over).
Tierney went 2-4 in Week 3 to bring his season total to 11-7, while Barber went 1-5 to bring his season total to 8-10.
Looking ahead to Week 4, Tierney likes Washington State (+6) against USC, Syracuse (+12) at NC State, and Iowa (+4.5) at Michigan State.
“I’m going Cougars, man,” Tierney said. “I am going Cougars. I don’t know if they will flat-out win. They could, which means the money line could be in play. But I’m going to take the six and take my chances with that. They’re (at) home, their offense in the air is prolific, a little lacking (in) balance (with) the pass versus the run, (but I like them). Sam Darnold, we know he’s got he great pedigree, but he does have seven picks. That offensive line is a little banged up. USC is good, (but) I don’t think they’re quite that good. Give me the Cougars.”
Looking at the NFL, Tierney likes the Rams (+6) at Dallas, the Eagles (+1.5) at the Chargers, and is taking the over in Jaguars/Jets (38).
Barber, meanwhile, likes Virginia Tech (+7) against Clemson, Washington (-26.5) at Oregon State, and Penn State (-18.5) against Indiana. Looking at the NFL, he likes the Patriots (-9) against the Panthers, the Bengals (-3) at Cleveland, and is taking the over in Eagles/Chargers (47).
