Tua Tagovailoa played in just 10 games in his rookie season, but apparently that was enough for some of his Dolphins teammates.

According to the Miami Herald, three unnamed Dolphins players expressed concerns over the former first-round pick and questioned whether he was the right man for the job.

Tagovailoa is taking the anonymous criticism in stride.

“I think sometimes things might get blown out of proportion or whatnot,” he said on The DA Show. “I don’t know if that is true or if that isn’t, but I can control what I can control. My focus is getting better and trying to make this jump, this leap, from year one to year two.”

Tagovailoa completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,814 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions this season. He also ran for three touchdowns, helping the Dolphins (10-6) to their best finish since 2016.

“It was a fun season,” Tagovailoa said. “It was my first year being able to see the ins and the outs with the league and also the communication, how the communication works with the quarterback and the head coach, the quarterback and the OC, and the quarterback with the team. I think we had a lot of fun this year. Obviously we came up shorter than we expected, but all the more reason to work a lot harder to get what we want for next year.”
